Youkha is a flatbread that comes in numerous thin layers and has a long history, prepared in Iran by rural residents and nomads.
The baking process of this bread has been registered as a national intangible heritage of Iran.
This bread is made from a dough that is formed by mixing flour, milk, and water. The dough is then left to rise for several hours before being formed into layers and baked. Youkha has a dense and chewy texture and is quite filling.
The flatbread is baked in a clay oven and the finished delicacy is often eaten with special natural oil.
