Bountiful barberry harvest in Iran

Barberry harvest is one of the most important events of the year in the Iranian province of South Khorasan Province.

It starts from the beginning of October and lasts until the middle of December. During this time, farmers work hard to collect as many barberries as possible.

The barberries are then sold to processors who turn them into various products, including jams and juices.

Barberry production is a vital part of the local economy and provides employment for many people in the province.

Barberry is used as a favorite spice in Iranian cuisine, giving dishes a pleasantly sour taste. It is also used in traditional medicine in Iran and other parts of the world and has various health benefits.
