Spain awards Iran ‘Adjustment’

Iranian short film ‘Adjustment’ has won an award at the Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival in Spain.

The 15-minute short, directed by Mehrdad Hassani, grabbed the best film award at the 2022 edition of the event.

‘Adjustment’ tells the story of little kid who has been shamed and pushed away by his family and friends. Having been through variety of ordeals and with a messed up mind and identity, Shahrokh, must face the people of his village and show up in the class before his classmates.

The key cast members of the flick are Mansour Nasiri, Moeen Asoudeh and Fatemeh Moradi.

The film has already participated in a number of global events, including the Busan Int’l Short Film Festival in South Korea, the FIN Atlantic Int’l Film Festival in Canada and the Sedicicorto Int’l Film Festival in Italy.

The Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival aims to “show films that make us think, awaken our conscience, denounce injustice and reflect the social and cultural diversity of humanity”, according to an online submission platform.

This 30th edition of the festival was held on December 1-9, 2022.
