Christians in Iran shopping for Christmas

On the eve of the New Year, Christian Iranians rush to shop for Christmas, with the festival’s atmosphere is felt in different areas across the capital Tehran.

Iranian-Armenians observe Christmas that commemorates the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ on January 6.

As people are gearing up for Christmas, some shops in Tehran start selling Christmas trees and symbols.

One of the most areas in Tehran where the joyful atmosphere of Christmas can be felt is on Mirza Shirazi Street near Saint Sarkis Cathedral, one of the most famous churches in Iran.
