Iran, Russia to co-produce TV series

Iran’s cultural attaché to Russia Masoud Ahmadvand says Tehran and Moscow are planning to co-produce TV series.

Masoud Ahmadvand announced that an Iranian-Russian joint media committee has been formed in Iran.

He noted that the formation of the committee will pave the way for more drama co-productions.

“We hope that a number of co-productions, which are being discussed by Iranian and Russian cineastes, will be made soon,” Ahmadvand said.

He noted that the execution of such projects “will start a new chapter in the cultural ties between the two countries”, and will help the nations of the two countries to get acquainted with the reality without the mediation of Western media outlets.

In recent years, Iran and Russia have enhanced their bilateral relations.
