‘The Dream of a Horse’ to vie at Big Sky

Iranian film ‘The Dream of a Horse’ is set to compete in the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in the United States.

The 20th edition of the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival will screen ‘The Dream of a Horse’ by Marjan Khosravi next month.

“Shahnaz, the oldest daughter of a nomad family, loves writing and her stories are inspired by her lifestyle. Her father wants to marry her off to better the family’s condition, but Shahnaz wants to pursue bigger dreams,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Iranian film ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ by Mehdi Zamanpour-Kiasari will also take part in the US event.

The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival is “the premier venue for non-fiction film in the American West”. It “offers an ideal setting for filmmakers to premiere new work and develop lasting relationships with fellow filmmakers and industry”.

The 20th edition of the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival will take place on February 17-26.
