Nomadic festival in Iran’s Yazd: Photos

Nomads in the county of Khatam in Iran’s province of Yazd have taken part in a nomadic festival, marking the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies.

The Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies, that mark the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, are held on February 1-11.

The nomadic festival took place in a village near Herat City.

The event included competitions and local games played by the village residents.
