AmDocs to screen ‘It’s a Gray, Gray World!’

Iran’s animated short film ‘It’s a Gray, Gray World!’ has made its way to the American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs), an Oscar-qualifying festival in the US.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘It’s a Gray, Gray World!’ will take part in the 12th edition of AmDocs.

Directed by Sayyed Mohsen Pourmohseni Shakib, the film is about a colorful young man who lives in a completely gray world.

“He is forced to change his color in order to live in that society until his real identity is revealed by a playful boy. His reality sparks anger among people,” the film’s synopsis reads.

AmDocs is “one of the largest Docs and Animation festivals in the United States.”

Winners of the festival’s qualifying awards will be eligible for consideration in the Documentary Short Film category of the Academy Awards.

The 12th edition of AmDocs will take place on March 30-April 3.
