Iran, second largest pistachio exporter in 2022

Iran has been named the second largest pistachio exporter to both the European Union (EU) and China in 2022. 

According to figures from Eurostat and the Chinese customs office, Iran came second in exporting its high-quality pistachios to the EU countries and China. 

Iran exported 174 million euros worth of pistachio last year to these countries. 

Iranian production of pistachios has been increasing in recent years due to improved farming practices. 

Iran is expected to remain a major pistachio exporter in the coming years, as the demand for Iranian pistachio continues to increase.

The success of Iran as a pistachio exporter is a testament to the country’s ability to adapt to changing market conditions and to use innovative farming techniques to boost production.
