Russians perform at the Fajr Music Festival

The fifth night of the 38th edition of Fajr Music Festival will host 15 performances in six halls.

Vahdat Hall in Tehran will host two performances of Tehran Symphonic Orchestra and St.Petersburg State Conservatory Ensemble.

The Fajr Music Festival is another part of the Ten-Day Dawn celebration, which is organized every year to mark the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

About 90 performances are scheduled to be held during the festival at seven halls, including Vahdat and Rudaki in Tehran.

Bands from Portugal, Russia, Hungary, India, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Armenia and Serbia have also been invited to give performances during the event, which will end on Wednesday.

Established in 1986, the Fajr International Music Festival is affiliated with UNESCO and includes national and international competition sections.

The event is annually held in January in different sections, wherein many renowned national and international musicians perform in diverse genres.
