‘Adjustment’ to compete in Poland

Iranian short film ‘Adjustment’ is scheduled to vie at the International Film Festival ZOOM – ZBLIZENIA in Poland.

The 15-minute short, directed by Mehrdad Hassani, will vie at the main competition section of this year’s edition of the event.

‘Adjustment’ tells the story of little kid who has been shamed and pushed away by his family and friends. Having been through variety of ordeals and with a messed up mind and identity, Shahrokh, must face the people of his village and show up in the class before his classmates.

The key cast members of the flick are Mansour Nasiri, Moeen Asoudeh and Fatemeh Moradi.

The film has already participated in a number of global events, including the Busan Int’l Short Film Festival in South Korea, the FIN Atlantic Int’l Film Festival in Canada and the Sedicicorto Int’l Film Festival in Italy.

According to the festival’s website, “it aims to present the author’s cinema, ambitious, high artistic value, moving independent and original subject matter, as well as the promotion of independent film art”.

The 26th edition of the event is slated for March 12-6, 2023.
