The seasonal salt lake in the highlands of Shiraz in Iran rich in potassium and other salts is mostly famous for its red color, which distinguishes it from many other bodies of water in the country.
By mid-summer and due to high evaporation rates and salt concentrations, the lake water turns pinkish red as a result of the red tide within the lake.
During the early days of spring and final days of winter the nature turns green with lots of little aromatic blossoms.
