In honor of Hijab and Ifaf Week in Iran, Ammar Popular Filmfest offers a special screening package of films promoting the Islamic culture of Hijab.
The Iran-based festival director made the remarks on Saturday, adding that the packages include a wide range of documentaries, one animated production and a music video.
Week of Hijab and Ifaf (abstinence) in Iran is marked on anniversary of Iranian popular uprising against the country’s former despotic ruler Reza Shah Pahlavi for issuing a decree on Islamic Hijab ban in the country.
The titles in the package include ‘Rainy Lady’, ‘Iranian Lady’, ‘Goharshad Uprising’, ‘Tayebeh’, ‘Dreams of Flowers’, ‘Our Colored Headscarves’ and ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’, among others.
"Ammar International Popular Film Festival goes against promotion of “individualism and extreme enjoyment without caring about the society's troubles and other human suppression,” the event’s official website noted.
