Sobh Media Festival reaches last stop

The 1st edition of the IRIB World Service media festival entitled Sobh Media Festival wrapped up on March12, 2023 at IRIB Conference Center.

Some Iranian top governmental officials and media activists attended the event.

The competition lineup was comprised of various channels of the IRIB World Service including Sahar, Al-Kawthar, Press TV, Al-Alam, iFilm, Hausa TV, Hispan TV, Iran Press News Agency, the radio collection channels, and the 30-language Pars-Today website.

The channels screened their latest productions for the juries of the Sobh Media Festival.

Among the top winners were Iran Press News Agency which grabbed two awards for best podcast (Ahmad Shirzadian) and motion graphics (Reza Momeni) at the 2023 edition of the event.

The secretary of Sobh Media Festival, Ebrahim Ali-Borzai, said on a side note, “Sobh Media Festival is also proud to support the ideas of producing various programs in support of the Palestinian people, and dedicate its special award to their cause."

He elaborated on the aims of the Sobh Media Festival, adding,  “We try to introduce IRIB World Service producers inside Iran to the world, with more than 15 television, and 30 radio channels.”

IRIB World Service chaired the event with the 'One Family- One Aim' motto.

The Sobh Media Festival aims to pave the way for competition between the works and productions of the World Service in four sections of Television, radio, new ideas, and virtual space.
