The Canadian University of Quebec is currently hosting the first Symposium of Persian Humor attended by a number of Persian satirists.
The symposium that started on July 10, 2017, is featuring a number of participating Persian comedians and humorists.
The lecturing guests of the symposium include Member of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Oxford Homayoun Katouzian, and the former professor at the University of Cambridge and the University of California, Berkeley, Hassan Javadi.
Other scientific personalities that will attend the symposium include the director of the Center for the Study of Sadi Kourosh Kamali-Sarvestani as well as researcher Roya Sadr.
The symposium is organized by the International Society for Humor Studies which is a scholarly and professional organization dedicated to the advancement of humor research.
The First Symposium of Persian Humor is slated for July 10-14, 2017, in the Canadian city of Montreal.
