Golden Tree doc fest hosting 'ISATIS'

Iranian movie ‘ISATIS’ has been going on screen at the Golden Tree International Documentary Festival in France.

Directed by Farzad Khoshdast, the film represents Iran among 16 other documentaries from various countries at the 7th edition of the event in Paris.

‘ISATIS’ is a poetic documentary on a portion of Iran’s culture narrated by four elements of nature.

“A story of the hands of the people who turned soil into elixir... and reached from nonexistence to existence. An old story of the true value of water... A story of a town with all its vicissitudes that has been shining like agate in the heart of the dry and barren soil of the desert. A story of the kind dialogue between religions and the scent of faith narrated by water, wind, earth and fire,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The Golden Tree International Documentary Festival, held in Europe every year, aims to bring the world’s eyes together and spread films based on a certain place, a certain period of history and a certain culture from one continent to another, to explore the cultural origins of different civilizations around the world, and to promote exchanges and mutual learning.

This year’s edition of the festival, slated for April 21-23, is currently underway.
