Harvesting of fresh tea leaves in Gilan: Photos

Tea is one of the most popular and widely consumed beverages in the world, particularly Iran.

Iran’s northern provinces, including Gilan, produce the best tea in the country.

The picking of the fresh tea leaves in Gilan’s farms starts in May.

This year, more than 130,000 tons of green leaves of tea are predicted to be harvested from Gilan and Mazandaran Provinces.
