Ashuradeh; heavenly island for birdwatchers

Ashuradeh, Iran’s sole island in the Caspian Sea, is a heaven for birdwatchers.

Also spelled as Ashora Deh (Ashorada or Ashour), the island is a part of Bandar Turkaman and one of the beautiful places of Golestan Province situated 25 kilometers from Gorgan.

The small island and its adjacent wetlands offer a diverse ecological haven for various migrating bird species.
