Spectacular scenes from Karun 3, 4 Dam

Karun Dam, built on a river of the same name, is one the most important and largest dams established in Iran.

Karun Dam is built in an area between Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province and the province of Khuzestan.

It is divided into two sections Karun Dam 3 and Karun Dam 4.

The dam was founded to secure a part of the country’s electricity and reduce flood risks.

The lake formed behind the dam, alongside its surrounding mountains, have created a spectacular landscape that attracts many tourists.
