‘Loupetoo’ to hit big screens in Russia

Iranian animation ‘Loupetoo’ has been scheduled to hit the silver screens in Russia.

‘Loupetoo’ by Abbas Askari that participated at the Russian film market in May, is set to be screened in Russian cinemas.

Soureh Cinema Organization represented Iran at the event which took place on May 29-30.

The film market was held in presence of more than 1500 high-profile managers of the film industry, reliable distribution and production companies from Russia.

The animation is a 3D animated movie produced by the Iran-based Soureh Cinema Organization.

The film’s name is inspired by the word Kermani people of Iran use to refer to handmade toys that mothers used to make for their children in the past.

The animation is about a hospital where Dr. Saeed Kamali treats his mental patients by letting them make toys.

“A person disguised as a patient vandalizes the workshop and causes its closure. The doctor’s son, Ali, tries to help his father solve the problem,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The animation was also screened in Lebanon and Syria.
