Hagmatana on verge of inscription on UNESCO list

Hagmatana Hill in western Iran is on the verge of gaining global recognition by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Having an area of 30 hectares, Hagmatana is one of the largest ancient hills in Iran.

Hagmatana, which dates back over 3,000 years, is considered as one of the valuable monuments in the country.

Iran has nominated Hagmatana for inclusion in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List that includes sites of outstanding universal value.

The hill is globally famous as the first Iranian dynasty was established over there.
