Persian deer spotted in natural habitat

The restored habitat of Persian fallow deer is located in the protected area of Abadeh Tashk in Iran's Fars province.

This rare species is among the endangered races of the International Wildlife Conservation Organization in terms of conservation value.

Iranian Persian fallow deer is a so-called nocturnal animal, in other words, it grazes to feed during the night and rests mostly under the shade of trees in the day time.

The main flora in the Zard Abadeh Tashk protected area is the Pistacia atlantica, which creates shade in the summer season and is a place for the deer to rest and protect them from the heat.
