Hungary awards Iranian ‘Voice’

Iranian film ‘The Voice’ has won an award at the Faludi International Film Festival in Hungary.

Ali Abdollahi’s latest directorial experience grabbed the Best Directing Award at the 25th edition of the event.

‘The Voice’ is a slice of the life of a cinema sound engineer who spends day and night in a car while picking up passengers, listening to the recorded voice of his loved one.

A short synopsis of the film reads: “Hanna: What would you do if you miss me? Ebi: I’ll listen to your voice.”

Ebrahim Azizi, Hanna Kamkar and Khalil Zoroufchian star in the film.

The Faludi International Film Festival is an attempt to promote amateur filmmakers. It is also a photo competition which includes professional creators.

The 25th edition of the festival was held on November 2022 and the winners were recently announced.
