Russia to host Iranian ‘Mattress’

Iranian short film ‘Mattress’ is scheduled to vie at the ZERO PLUS International Film Festival in Russia.

Arash Hasanpour’s latest directorial experience will be screened at the 10th edition of the event.

“A damp mattress with a yellow stain on it is hung to dry from the balcony of the house of an 8-year-old boy named Mohsen, which causes ridicule and judgment from his friends,” a short synopsis of the film reads.

Mohammad Soroush Alishahi, Salar Ghadimi, Mohammad Amin Mohammadi, Fatima Neyshabouri, and Yadollah Shademani star in the film.

The ZERO PLUS Festival invites films, which foster positive, formative and life-asserting worldview of children and young people.

The event is focused on strengthening common human values: family, friendship, childhood, understanding between people, talents and creativity, nurture and education, value of life, concern for nature, love for a profession, etc.

The 2023 edition of the event is scheduled for October 1-8.
