Travel to Neyshabur Turquoise Mine

With a reserve of nine thousand tons and an annual production capacity of 19 tons, Neyshabur Turquoise Mine is one of the oldest mines in the world, where turquoise stone has been extracted since 2000 years ago.

This mine is the most important turquoise mine in the world and some natural-historical samples of Neyshabor turquoise are kept in the museum of London and the Geological Museum of Iran.

Turquoise is a blue opaque gemstone extracted from the mines and appreciated as a beautiful decorative stone in many historical civilizations of the world.

With a combination of iron, copper sulfate, aluminum and water molecules, the stone has a unique blue color, some of which have green, golden, dark and brown streaks.
