‘The Locust’ vying at Karlovy Vary

Iranian-German feature ‘The Locust’ has made its way to the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

‘The Locust’, written and directed by Faezeh Azizkhani, is taking part in the 57th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

The film is about Hanieh, a female writer who is in a financial crisis.

She has written a film script inspired by her own life, and given the script to her friend Pegah in order to turn it into a movie.

Now, Hanieh faces the judgments of others on the protagonist.

‘The Locust’ is starring Hanieh Tavassoli, Pegah Ahangarani, Ali Mosaffa, Pedram Sharifi, and Ramin Sediqi.

The film previously took part in various film festivals, including the Edinburgh International Film Festival in Scotland, the Split Film Festival in Croatia, and the Mostra – Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival kicked off on June 30 and will run until July 8.
