Flamingos gracefully descend upon Lake Urmia

Tens of thousands of flamingos have begun flocking to wetlands that lie in the vicinity of Urmia Lake National Park in northwestern Iran.

There are currently nearly 35,000 flamingos residing in wetlands near the park, with approximately 10,000 exclusively inhabiting the Dargah Sangi wetland.

The wetlands in northwestern Iran, specifically Dargah Sangi, Sulduz, Hasanlu, and Kani Barazan, serve as important habitats for migratory birds.
