Red carpets bridge shrines for Ashura

In homage to the indomitable spirit of devotion, the sacred pathway linking the revered shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) has been adorned with red carpets.

This poignant gesture serves as a profound tribute, honoring the unfathomable sacrifices of the Imam and his faithful companions endured during the historic Battle of Karbala.

On the eve of Ashura, the act of spreading red carpets in the pathway, known as Bayn al-Haramayn, holds deep symbolism in the mourning rituals for the third Shia Imam.

It represents the blood-soaked ground of Karbala and serves as a reminder of the tragic events that unfolded on the battlefield.

The red carpets speak volumes, silently narrating the tales of valor, righteousness, and resilience that are entwined within the fabric of Islam and the eternal message of Imam Hussein (AS).

Our hearts are stirred with reverence and sorrow as we remember the great sacrifice and eternal message of Imam Hussein (AS).

Bayn al-Haramayn is the area between shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS).
