The 6th edition of the International Urban Film Festival, to be held in Tehran, has announced its Feature Film selection.
The selection jury, comprised of Negar Azarbaijani, Hossein Mosafer-Astaneh, and Abbas Rafei has chosen 11 films to compete in this section.
The feature film list includes ‘The Descendants’ and ‘Road to Perdition’ both directed by Yasser Talebi, ‘Obligatory’ directed by Hamid-Reza Refaei, and ‘Younes’ directed by Darioush Yari.
the list goes on with ‘Noura’ directed by Vahid Parshad, ‘Scenes from a Detectives Life’ directed by Alireza Rasoulinejad, ‘White as Pearl’ directed by Rouhollah Hejazi, and ‘The Road’ directed by Majid Esmaeili-Parsa.
‘The Glasses’ directed by Reza Aqaei, ‘I Don’t Want to Survive’ directed by Ali Yahyaei and ‘Maat’ directed by Saba Kazemi are also in the lineup.
Organized by the Art and Culture Organization of Tehran Municipality, the festival’s film categories include Iranian Cinema (competition), International Cinema (competition) and Neighborhood section.
The International Urban Film Festival’s main focus is on the significance of city and urbanism in human life. The event also seeks to promote empathy and moral values in cinematic works and offers a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences among the cities of the world.
The 6th International Urban Film Festival is organized by the Art and Culture Organization (ACO) of Tehran Municipality, slated to run from July 31 to August 5, 2017.
