Iran commemorates late director Khosrow Sinai

The Cinema Museum of Iran pays tribute to late Iranian filmmaker Khosrow Sinai who passed away last year.

The Cinema Museum of Iran, in cooperation with the Association of Graduates of the Islamic Center for Filmmaking Teaching (Bagh Ferdows), commemorated Sinai during an event in Tehran on Tuesday.

That came as Sinai, who was also a writer, poet and composer, was giving classes at the Islamic Center for Filmmaking Teaching.

Sinai made almost 30 documentaries, nine feature films, more than eight short films, and four animations. He also wrote the screenplay of a number of works.

His films brought him several awards in Iran. Poland also honored him for his documentary ‘The Lost Requiem’ that tells the story of the arrival of Polish refugees to Iran during World War II.

In 2022, Sinai died at the age of 79 after contracting the coronavirus.
