iFilm English TV to air ‘Willow Tree’

iFilm’s movie ‘Willow Tree’ has been scheduled to go on air on September 9, 2023.

The movie, produced and directed by high-profile director Majid Majidi, tells the story of Yousef who has been blind since he was eight, when he burned his eyes playing with fireworks.

When a tumor develops under his right eye, Yousef goes to Paris for medical treatment, fearing the worse.

But instead of cancer, he comes back to Tehran with his sight back.

Everyone is overjoyed, except for Yousef, who realizes his life isn't what he'd imagined.

The movie’s cast list includes Roya Teymourian, Parviz Parastouee, Reza Naji, Afarin (Soghra) Abisi, Mahmoud Behzadnia, and Leila Otadi.

‘Willow Tree’, made in 2004, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00.
