Iran artists urge end to Israel atrocities

Iranian artists and war veterans have urged an end to Israel’s atrocities in the besieged Gaza Strip.

In a letter to the UN secretary general, a group of Iranian artists and war veterans, condemned the Israeli regime’s killing of civilians in the Gaza Strip, urging Antonio Guterres to do his best to stop atrocities there. The letter was spearheaded by the Tehran Peace Museum and Iran’s House of Cinema.

Here is the letter's text:

Mr. Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations

We, the Iranian artists, along with the veterans and survivors of chemical warfare of the Iraq-Iran war (1980-1988), by signing this letter, call upon you to do your best to stop the ongoing atrocities against the under siege civilians in Gaza including women and children.

Sir, the position you have held, whether you like it or not, represents the historical conscience of humanity in the present era, and its performance will be judged by future generations.
Try to stop the war for the sake of humanity.

Sincerely,

Tehran Peace Museum – Iran’s House of Cinema

Reza Kianian, Mostafa Kiaei, Mohsen Kiaei, Rambod Javan and Mohammad-Hossein Latifi were some of the signatories.
