Production talks heat up for ‘Chimney’ season 3

Negotiations are underway for the new season of  ‘Chimney’ series. 

Zeynab Taqavi, producer of the 'Chimney' original series, was quoted by local media as saying that following negotiations, a new season of the popular series with a compelling narrative may be produced.

“The series’ producer underscored the significance of crafting a captivating narrative for the third season of ‘Chimney' while maintaining the distinct elements from its first two seasons.”

She also expressed her openness to various genres and her interest in producing a diverse range of works, nothing, “I have never confined myself to a specific space or genre, and like all these years, while I have had a concern for producing works in the drama genre, at times I produced comedies as well."

In the ‘Chimney’ original series, Effat and Firouz own a carpet cleaning center, which is also their home. Firouz’s sister is married to Effat’s brother and the two men cannot get along with each other.

Both families are constantly in need of money. Their financial situation gets even worse when officials seal their carpet cleaning center. But the families have to face their problems and manage to find a way out together.

The cast list of the original series includes Houman Barqnavard, Behnam Tashakkor, Mohammad-Javad Ezzati, Sima Tirandaz, Elnaz Habibi, Amir-Hossein Rostami, Kianoush Gerami, Lida Abbasi, Negar Abedi, and Mohammad-Reza Shirkhanlou.
