Iranian female poet featured at FIFF

New Iranian film 'Miracle of Parvin' themed on renowned Iranian female poet Parvin Etesami takes center stage at the Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) in Iran. 

The screen adaptation, directed by Mohammad Reza Varzi, offers a glimpse into the life of the celebrated poet.

It captivated audiences with its different portrayal of Parvin on the sixth day of Fajr International Film Festival.

 Actress Maral Baniadam stars as the poet in the flick. 

Notably, the film intertwines elements of poetry and drama, combining a biography of the poet with poignant storytelling. 

'Miracle of Parvin' focuses on the challenges faced by women during Etesami's era, shedding light on the poet's defiance against a male-dominated society.

Etesami is one of the most famous female poets in Persian literature who was born in 1907.

The 42nd FIFF is currently ongoing and will continue until February 11, 2024.
