New Iranian VOD releases

'The Asphalt Jungle' is set to grace the screens of Iranian Video-on-Demand (VOD) platforms.

'The Asphalt Jungle', directed by Pejman Teymourtash and produced by Esmaeel Afifeh, is scheduled to be released on March 22, 2024.

The star-studded cast list includes renowned actors such as Navid Mohammadzadeh, Merila Zarei, Rima Raminfar, Azadeh Samadi, Fereshteh Hosseini, and Amir Jafari.

The series unfolds a gripping tale with a synopsis that reads, “Within the confines of the forest, one must either have the skills to confront challenges head-on or swiftly retreat. The woodland landscape defines individuals as either the pursuer or the pursued, leaving no room for hesitancy. Fear finds no sanctuary in the heart of the forest – it is a realm that demands courage and resilience.”

With Teymourtash at the helm, 'The Asphalt Jungle' promises to be a must-watch for fans of intense social narratives.

Hossein Mahkam takes the audience on a solitary journey with his latest production, 'Odyssey of Solitude'.

This recent addition to Iranian VODs features a stellar cast list, including Soroush Sehhat, Soheil Mostajabian, Babak Karimi, and Baran Kosari.

As the title suggests, 'Odyssey of Solitude', produced and written by Mahkam, promises to be a contemplative exploration of the human condition.

Manouchehr Hadi presents a departure from his recent comedies with 'Around 8 a.m.', a movie based on a true story.

The film, now available on VODs, boasts an impressive cast, including Yekta Nasser, Kambiz Dirbaz, Sara Rasoulzadeh, Farid Qobadi, Hassan Pourshirazi, and the director.

'Around 8 a.m.' delves into a serious social narrative, offering the audience a thought-provoking experience.

Film enthusiasts and VOD subscribers are in for a treat as these three productions bring a mix of drama, solitude, and social commentary to Iranian screens.
