Iranian Cultural Days underway in Bosnia

The Iranian Cultural Days event is currently in full swing at the Istočno Cultural Center in the Bosnian capital city of Sarajevo, celebrating Iranian art, film, and tradition.

The cultural delegation of Iran kicked off a week-long event in Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 24, promising a rich cultural experience.

Every day, 150 Bosnian children and teenagers gather to immerse themselves in the world of Iranian cinema, watching acclaimed animations like ‘Dolphin Boy’, ‘Lupto’, and ‘Mubarak’.

Audiences also enjoy acclaimed films such as ‘Romanticism of Emad & Tooba’, ‘Hanas’, ‘Sara and Ayda’, and ‘The Painting Pool’.

Mohammad Hossein Ansari, Iran's cultural attaché in Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasized the distinct qualities of Iranian cinema. "Iranian cinema stands out for its avoidance of typical cinematic tropes, such as violence," Ansari explained. "Instead, Iranian films prioritize moral principles, family values, and respect for human dignity."

Complementing the film screenings, a photo exhibition showcasing Iran's natural and tourist attractions invites visitors to explore the country's diverse beauty.

Adding to the cultural immersion, a handicraft exhibition also features traditional Iranian art forms.
