According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, more than 38,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched its military offensive on October 7. Half of Gaza's buildings, including hospitals and homes, and hundreds of cultural and religious sites, have been damaged or destroyed during the nine-month war on Gaza.

Satellite imagery analysis indicates that approximately 50 percent of Gaza's structures and 62 percent of homes have been damaged or destroyed. This extensive destruction has left more than a million Palestinians homeless and nearly 2.3 million residents displaced, facing severe shortages of food, clean water, and medical services.
