Iran animation shortlisted for China fest

The Iranian animated film 'Being Ten' has been nominated for an award at the Beijing International Children's Film Festival in China.

Directed by Fatemeh Jafari, the animation was shortlisted for the INTERNATIONAL SHORT COMPETITION section of the event. 

The animation competes with 16 other films from countries such as Brazil, America, England, France, China, India, Russia and South Korea.

'Being Ten' is a production of Iran's Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. In 2023, it won the third prize at the 11th “Constantine's Gold Coin” international festival in Serbia.

The Beijing International Children's Film Festival, promoted by the Children's Science Education Committee of China's largest children's culture and art promotion association, launched in 2018. It has become the largest children's film festival in China. 

The 2024 edition of the event takes place on July 22-28.
