The 41st Tehran International Short Film Festival has received an impressive 1,826 entries for its national competition, marking an increase in submissions compared to the previous year.
According to a report by IRNA from the communications and public relations team of the festival, the submission period has officially closed, and the festival's secretariat has released the statistics for the films entered in the national competition.
This year, the competition has attracted 1,249 narrative films, 242 documentaries, 226 experimental films, and 109 animations, showing a diverse array of short films from across Iran.
This year’s total of 1,826 submissions shows a rise in participation, compared to last year’s 1,787 entries.
The 41st Tehran International Short Film Festival, with a continued focus on “localization in genre” for the third consecutive year, will be held from October 18 to October 23, 2024, under the direction of Mehdi Azarpendar.
