Veteran Iranian actress passes away

Well-known Iranian actress Zohreh Hamidi has passed away after a battle with cancer.

She died on Sunday, August 25, at the age of 67.  

The actress had disclosed to the local media that she had undergone chemotherapy treatments, expressing hope for a full recovery.

In a previous interview with ISNA, Hamidi had shared an update on her condition, stating, “Thank God, I feel much better than before, but my treatment is still ongoing. The chemotherapy is over, but the pills I'm taking are worse and make me feel bad, but there's nothing I can do. I have to take these medications for six months."

Hamidi, born in 1957, played in many Iranian series aired by iFilm such as 'The Wet Wings' and 'Parent Problems'.

Her contributions to the Iranian cinema and television have earned her a special place in the hearts of many.

Her passing is a significant loss to the Iranian entertainment industry.
