Actress returns dad's unfinished project

Iranian actress Setareh Pesiani is set to stage an unfinished theatrical project as a tribute to her late father, the renowned Iranian actor Atila Pesyani.

Setareh Pesyani has decided to complete her father's dream by bringing 'Pearl Island' to life.

Atila Pesyani, even during his illness, remained deeply committed to the world of theater.

He had begun rehearsals for 'Pearl Island', a play based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic "Treasure Island," to stage it with his theatrical troupe named "Play."

Unfortunately, his deteriorating health forced the rehearsals to be suspended.

The actor passed away in October 2023.

'Pearl Island' premieres next month, coinciding with the first anniversary of Atila Pesyani's passing.

The performance takes place at the Iranshahr Theater Complex in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.  

Pesyani's performance in the movie 'In Cold Blood' earned him a Simorgh Award nomination for the Best Leading Actor at the prestigious Fajr International Film Festival in Iran.
