The veteran actor went into in a coma about two weeks ago and was hospitalized following a stroke. He had long been fighting with cancer.
Born in 1948 in Shahreza, Isfahan Province, his parents named him Nematollah. He changed his name to Sadreddin later.
The very first roles Hejazi played in Iranian cinema and television dates back to the 1980s.
He was mostly known for the roles he played in several cinematic projects, including ‘Captain Khorshid’, ‘The Day of the Devil’, ‘Santouri’, ‘Doubt’ and ‘The Bear’.
He also appeared in a number of popular Iranian TV series such as ‘Once Upon a Time’, ‘Mokhtarnameh’, ‘The Loneliest Commander’, ‘The Basement’, ‘Coma’, ‘The Man with Two Thousand Faces’, ‘Dark Intelligence’, ‘No Pain, No Gain’, and ‘Kimia’.
