The follow-up of Majid Majidi’s masterpiece will be aired on September 21, 2024.
The movie portrays the life of Islam’s Holy Prophet and narrates the early years of his prophecy in Mecca.
‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’ initially sets in a time when Muslims were boycotted in an area called “She’eb Abi Talib.” From the very beginning, the film starts with a flashback to events surrounding the prophet’s pre-birth and adolescence.
Some of the main sequences include the story of Abraha and his attack on Mecca, the prophet’s birth, and his mother’s death after giving birth to Muhammad (PBUH).
The impressive work ends with the Prophet's first journey to the Levant, in today’s Syria, where he visited a Christian monk who foretold Prophethood for him.
Mohsen Tanabandeh, Sareh Bayat, Alireza Shoja-Nouri, Daryoush Farhang, Mehdi Pakdel, and Mina Sadati are on the cast list of the movie.
The second part of ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’, made in 2015, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.
You can watch the reruns on iFilm the following day at 04:00, 10:00, and 16:00.
