New series to enrich Iranian TV

Iranian television is gearing up for an eclectic lineup of series and diverse offerings.

‘Pardisan’ begins filming under Mohammad-Reza Ahanj

The production of ‘Pardisan’, a new social drama directed by Mohammad-Reza Ahanj, has recently kicked off under the supervision of Simafilm's Social Productions group.

The series is being produced by Parviz Amiri and Seyyed Sajjad Qafelehbashi.

Ahanj, known for his prior television work ‘Brother’, returns with this women-centric melodrama that explores the life of Manijeh, who returns to Iran after years abroad in search of someone she has lost. Her journey, however, takes unexpected and dramatic turns.

Penned by Mohsen Jasour and Hossein Soleimani, the series features an ensemble cast, including Mona Karimi, Roya Javidnia, Vida Javan, Nader Soleimani, Siavash Cheraghipour, and Alireza Ostadi.

‘Pardisan’ may hit the air during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

‘Guest Killing’ explores historical betrayal

Amid the production of major historical series like ‘Salman, the Persian’ and ‘Prophet Moses’, a new historical drama titled ‘Guest Killing’ has begun filming under the direction of Ahmad Kavari.

The series, slated for release during the next Muharram, focuses on the life of one of Imam Hussein's (AS) loyal companions, delving into the events and relationships that ultimately lead to the tragedy of Karbala.

Featuring a cast of prominent cinema and television actors, ‘Guest Killing’ promises a compelling and emotional portrayal of loyalty, betrayal, and sacrifice.

The series is planned to be made in 20 episodes.
