Updates on Iranian VOD platforms

Iran's video-on-demand (VOD) platforms continue to expand their offerings with exciting new releases that cater to diverse tastes.

Here's a look at three highly anticipated series set to entertain viewers soon:

‘Die Hard’: A social drama

The 19-episode series ‘Die Hard’ is set to premiere on December 27 on Iranian VOD platforms.

Each episode runs for 45 minutes, offering a gripping social narrative.

Directed by Mostafa Taqizadeh and produced by Saeed Khani, the series features Mojtaba Pirzadeh, Mehrdad Seddiqian, Elnaz Habibi, Mahour Alvand, and Amir-Hossein Hashemi.

The series explores dramatic themes and was notably shot over ten consecutive days in a prison setting.

‘One Thousand and One Nights’: A joint Iran-Turkey production

The upcoming series ‘One Thousand and One Nights’, directed by Mostafa Kiaee, marks a groundbreaking collaboration between Iran and Turkey in serial production.

Although the plot remains under wraps, an official behind-the-scenes photo suggests a historical and mythical storyline.

The series, now in its final stages of filming near Tehran, was partly shot in Turkey.

With its elaborate sets and international collaboration, ‘One Thousand and One Nights’ aims to elevate Iranian VOD productions to new heights.

‘Drunkard Morning’: A romantic adaptation

Renowned director Narges Abyar brings to life the romantic drama ‘Drunkard Morning’, based on one of the best-selling post-revolutionary romance novels.

The story follows Mahboubeh, a young woman from an affluent family in old Tehran who falls in love with Rahim, a carpenter’s apprentice.

Her determination to marry him against her family’s wishes sets the stage for a tale of love and fate.

Featuring a star-studded cast, including Gelareh Abbasi, Navid Pourfaraj, and Reza Kianian, the series is expected to debut soon on Iranian VOD platforms.
