Bangladesh to glad-hand Iran movie

Iranian feature film ‘Paris Tehran’ is scheduled to be screened at the 2017 edition of Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.

Directed and written by Kaveh Oveisi, the movie will vie at the main competition section of the event.

‘Paris Tehran’ narrates the story of an Iranian girl in Paris that returns to Iran to do something adventurous. She faces many challenges reaching what she desires.

Nastaran Pikano, Azadeh Movahed Bashiri, Ebrahim Azizi, Peyman Goli, Mohamadreza Najafi, Sara Athari, Rahman Pooladian, Amir Mohamad Sharif and Rastin Farahani have played roles in the movie.  

The event has dedicated a special section to two recently deceased filmmakers Abbas Kiarostami from Iran and Yeşim Ustaoğlu from Turkey.

Established in 1992, the 15th edition of the Dhaka International Film Festival will be held on January 12-22, 2017, in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
