Iranian actor Mehrdad Falahatgar, best known for his role in the historical‑religious series 'Prophet Joseph', has died at the age of 65.
He had been admitted to Payambaran Hospital in Tehran shortly before his death for complications arising from cancer.
The actor passed away on Sunday following cardiac arrest.
Falahatgar’s acting career spanned decades, with performances in numerous acclaimed television productions.
In addition to 'Prophet Joseph', his notable appearances included series such as 'The Men of Angelos', 'Little Engineer 2' and 'Buried Treasure'.
