Echoes of Martyr Soleimani in symphony

Iranmard Symphony Orchestra is set to perform in the Iranian city of Tehran to honor the memory of the martyred commander, General Qassem Soleimani.

The orchestra, conducted by Nassir Heidarian, will take the stage at Vahdat Hall in Tehran on Tuesday, December 30.

The special program is dedicated to preserving national identity, sacrifice, and cultural solidarity.

The event is organized by the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Martyr Soleimani’s Legacy and Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, with the attendance of officials and artists.

The program description states: “The symphonic performance of ‘Iranmard’ is an artistic effort to reinterpret a lasting national figure in the historical memory of the Iranian people. Through the language of symphonic music and artistic expression, it aims to globally represent the concepts of popular resistance, responsibility, and cultural bonds.”

Iran’s top anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Soleimani was assassinated alongside his companions in a 2020 US drone strike near Iraq’s International Airport in Baghdad.

The attack was ordered by the US President Donald Trump.
