‘Pet Man’ by Marzieh Abrar-Paydar has been scheduled to go on screen at 2017 Seoul International Extreme-Short Image & Film Festival (SESIFF) in South Korea.
Made in 2016, the film was produced in the Iranian center for development of documentary and experimental cinema.
Abrar-Paydar’s animation will compete with some 97 short films from 31 countries around the globe.
‘Pet Man’ tells the story of a pet shop owner who is sleeping in the shop. He sees himself in a scary cage with other animals. Trying to break the cage, he faces a barrier every time.
The animation has so far taken part at a number of international events, including the 40th Festival international du Court Metrage in France, the 21st Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival in South Korea and the 2017 edition of the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival in Austria.
‘Pet Man’ was nominated for an award at the 10th edition of the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival 2017.
The 9th edition of the Seoul Int’l Extreme-Short Image & Film Festival is slated for October 23-29, 2017.
