The 61st edition of BFI London Film Festival will screen ‘Lunch Time’ as Iran’s second representative in the event.
BFI London Film Festival officially announced that ‘Lunch Time’ Directed by Alireza Ghasemi and ‘Retouch’ directed by Kaveh Mazaheri are Iran’s cinema representatives in the event.
So far, the two short films have received several high ranking awards from different international festivals.
‘Lunch Time’ has participated at 70 international film festivals approved by Oscar Academy Awards. It has also attended the competition section of Cannes Film Festival.
The 15-minute film is about a high school girl who attends a hospital to identify her mother's dead body. The people in charge at the hospital would not let her into the morgue because of her young age.
Founded in 1933, the British Film Institute combines cultural, creative and industrial roles, bringing together the BFI National Archive and BFI Reuben Library, film distribution, exhibition and education at BFI Southbank and BFI IMAX, publishing and festivals.
